What happened, and what did you expect?

I installed via the install.ps1 script. The first round installed the binary, but failed int he second phase due to having agents running. I thought I closed them all down and ran it again. seems I still had one running. So I shut it down and tried again, this time it was a Hermes config file that was preventing it from completing. I renamed the config file as config.yaml.bak and ran it again. this time everything went through. then I went to start up hermes and it couldn't find the command. I tried to run grok CLI and it couldn't find that command. So I open environment variables and everything is gone except codebase-memory-mcp.

I don't really know what I was expecting but it wasn't for all my PATH variable to be deleted.

Reproduction

For the most part I think I gave you the exact steps I'm going to try them again 'cause I don't want it to be my variables that was able to restore

Confirmations

  • I searched existing issues and this is not a duplicate.
  • My reproduction uses shareable code (a dummy snippet or a public OSS repository), not proprietary code.
