Closes #1732 · Part of #1731
What this does — One skill per mode, mirroring
research: theautodevmode-protocol skill is merged intodevelop(protocol-first: ledger, the loop bound to the dev gate pack, roles, handoffs, honest degradation, compaction honesty; the issue-DAG walk is the mode's primary workflow section, worktree/parallelism content deduplicated). The former id is named inside the skill (forward-only read-resolve); the mode-id alias machinery (MODE_ID_ALIASES,session_spawn,mode_block) is untouched by design — an agent resolved asautodevstill binds the develop posture.Supersession, on the record — this merge supersedes the three-mode rename's id-retention clause (spec-20260907-011500 D1 rev 3, documented at the #858/#868 rename). The structural suite that pinned the two-skill split is rewritten in the same commit — the pin never lies for even one commit.
Sweep surface (all live skill references, alias/history surfaces deliberately untouched):
skills/develop/SKILL.md— merged (revision 3, agents: union of both)skills/autodev/— removedmodes/develop/mode.toml—autodevout ofprotocol_skills; comment updatedmodes/develop/card.md+agents/develop.md— first-actions directive bindsdevelopops/server/hub-AGENTS.md— index rows: staleautoresearchrow →research;developrow → merged description;director-corerow → copilot/research/develop posture model; onset-router line un-driftedtest/workflow_skills_public.test.ts— rewritten for the merged shape (protocol half + walk half + read-resolve + self-containment; manifest assertsdeveloppresent andautodevabsent)test/naming_records.test.ts,test/mode_cards.test.ts— inventories updatedVerification (fresh, this commit):
lint:skills: 0 errors (the develop companion-path note is the pre-existingknownpattern)tsc --noEmit: cleanOps checklist (NOT done by this PR — re-stage is a hub-restart action):
skills/autodev/directory (the skills rsync is additive, so the ghost survives until purged — the manifest-driven staging workstream in Autonomous R&D framework: live skills, one develop skill, loop todo discipline (deliberation record + queued workstreams) #1731's plan owns the permanent fix)AC from #1732: one develop skill ✓ · protocol+walk content ✓ · bindings reference develop/director-core only ✓ · structural test rewritten in-commit ✓ · naming-records row flipped ✓ · repo grep zero live refs ✓ · hub index rows fixed ✓ · lint/parity/smoke green ✓
