    @franrull

    I'm having the same problem. Even when installing a new project via ionic start helloWorld blank

    Same issue here. Any feedback or suggestions? There has been no change log update...

    @pabloweinx

    Same issue here. I have to downgrade Ionic CLI to 3.20 each time I want to test in iOS & Windows Phone with a minimum of reliability through Ionic Lab.

    @bnfrnz

    This issue kept me from updating the cli for two months now so I decided to waste some time on it. I think the problem is simply that the platform parameter in the device iframe url is wrong. For me, this fixes it:

    1. Open folder ./node_modules/@ionic/lab/www/build/ionlab
    2. Search for ionic:mode replace all with ionicplatform.

    I love ionic. The team's aways busy improving stuff. I just wish they could put a few more man hours into working off the repos' issue backlogs. Triaging that stuff is a pain but there are a bunch of legit issues aging.

    EDIT:
    Don't do this. When using ionicplatform in the URL as described above, all this.platform.is('android') and showWhen="android" will always be false. So, this is not a good workaround. Use below solution instead which works perfectly. Thanks @jprinsloo.

    @jprinsloo

    Here is a temporary workaround:

    • When running ionic serve -l, a localhost browser page opens on port 8200.
    • Change as follows: http://localhost:8200 to http://localhost:8100/ionic-lab

    This should render both platforms as expected.

    Since all the config names via query parameters were changed in Ionic 4, we'll have to detect v3 vs v4 and use the proper ones.
